Hi,

I'd like to create my own custom material in Grasshopper with inputs like conductivity, density, roughness,... Right now I have to change those later within the IDF-Editor. Is there a possibility to do that directly in GH?

The other question would be how I can load materials I have created with the IDF editor into GH or the result file to display the results in GH.

Thank you very much!

Hi Alexander,

You can edit materials which will appear as a Viper option in the following file,

c:\DIVA\Thermal\Grasshopper\IDF_Components\01_materials_variable_thickness.idf

So you can at least create custom materials with different physical parameters and use them via Grasshopper without having to edit the simulation IDF files directly.

Best,

Alstan

Thank you very much! That works great!
