Is there a way to simulate direct sunlight in Diva to get (the percent of time occupied when direct sunlight is experienced)? I've seen something similar in a paper and was wondering if it can be done in Diva. The paper I'm referring to is: (page 3411).

We did it a little differently in the paper, but you can get pretty similar results by (1) running an grid annual climate-based simulation of Daylight Autonomy (DA); (2) Set the lighting threshold to 1000 lx; (3) Set the number of ambient bounces to 0 such that the relevant portion of the Radiance Parameters line reads -ab 0
This will calculate only direct light which is over 1000 lx at each sensor and return a value in percentage of occupied hours from 0 to 100.
