Hello,

I recently acquired a new free student license because my old one expired, and I haven't been able to load the new license into DIVA. I downloaded the new license file and renamed it "diva.lic" from its original name "000005124-reid-weber_student.lic" and placed it in under C:\DIVA.

When I try and load DIVA by clicking on one of the tools in the toolbar this prompt screen comes up stating:

"A valid DIVA 2.0 license was not found in C:\DIVA\diva.lic and your 30-day trial period has expired.

Please visit the links below to either purchase a license or register for a free student license.

You will not be able to use DIVA until a valid license is acquired."

This is what was displayed in my command bar:

"Loading V-Ray for Rhino, version May 7 2007 18:54:59
LM-X Error: (Internal: 832 Feature: diva-rhino)

(Err: 9) Feature not found

For further information go to http://www.x-formation.com

Drag and drop unable to load plug-in C:\DIVA\DIVA.rhp"

Can you please tell me why the license is not being recognized?

Also, is there a 2.0 license and a 3.0 license? I only can run 2.0 because I am using Rhino 4.0 sr9.

Thank you,

Reid Weber

Hi Reid,

We're not typically giving out 2.0 licenses anymore. Rhino 5 was released in 2012! Anyways, I can still send you a 2.0 license -- just e-mail me at alstan@solemma.net.

Best,

Alstan

Hi Alstan,

I didn't realize I was so far behind the times.  I sent you an email.

Thanks,

Reid
