Hi all,

So far the new gh components in DIVA 4.0 are looking great.

I was hoping that there would be a capability to vary the material properties via a slider in v4.0 but doesn't look like it. e.g. vary the light transmission of glazing via a slider. Can you confirm if this is the case please? I'm guessing I would have to make individual materials for each transmission, one for each step of the slider?

Thank you for your response Jon Sargent,

I will see "Human tree fog" .

Unfortunately, my results are wrong on the new file where I had right results few hours ago.

With 3 input values of the transmittance, only the first value of mDF is realist, the others are 99.

What do you mean by non glass objects on a four path, I don"t really understand sorry,

Thank you

See my response to Mathias.  In the file you posted, you were bringing in your non-glass objects on a fourth path ({0}).  Note that it's always very easy to check this by hovering over the input:

Hi Mathias Sonderskov,

Thank you for your response.

I add object as flattened on another file and it runs.

But my big problem now, I always have one more simulation that the number of value  that I vary.

For example, I input 3 values of the transmittance and the simulation runs 4 times, so with 4 results of the mean DF.

I test with many values and I noticed that it's the first simulation that wrong, the results that I want are the 3 last.

My tree to vary the transmitance is like this

Thank you Jon Sargeant,

But I don't really understand what do you mean by fourth path in non glass object,

I directly connect all my scene objects (non glasses and glasses) to the DF

The parameters carried between components have data structures that determine how they are handled.  It's actually quite difficult to use Grasshopper without some practice in this, so I'd highly recommend reading up:

You might actually want to start with lists...

Thank you Jon Sargent, I should have started with that.

I understand better now
