Good morning,

I am working in an energy model to explore the potential for natural ventilation in a large building. I am noticing in my output csv file that heating/cooling are both occurring within the range of temperatures I specified in the Natural Ventilation settings. Is there a way in the ArchSim interface to force heating and cooling (and mechanical ventilation) off when the exterior temperature falls between the Minimum Outdoor Temperature [C] and Maximum Outdoor Temperature [C] for Natural Ventilation?

What is the meaning of the Natural Ventilation setpoint and how does it influence operations? It seems antithetical to the idea that natural ventilation can provide a range of indoor temperatures, rather than an exact temperature.

So far we have been post-processing the csv files to estimate some version of our loads but this process has some limitations and is very time consuming. Any insight would be appreciated!

Thanks so much,

Aurora
