I have questions regarding thermal analysis using viper component especially in HVAC system aspect. I think Alstan briefly described the change between the old and new versions of viper in one of the previous postings if I remember correctly. (old viper uses actual HVAC system with the system efficiencies, partial loads, and etc vs. new one using ‘ideal air loads system’…). With previous version of viper prior to the change, I’ve been working on a research project in which I’ve tried to test different shading geometries, different types of glazing with different HVAC systems (VAV, chilled beam, displacement ventilation…) in a shoebox module to reduce energy use and find optimized design option in the building. So it’s critical for me to understand the properties you embedded and assumptions you made to define different HVAC systems in older version of viper component. More importantly, is there any way to differentiate HVAC systems in this “ideal air load system’ concept? The fact is that my firm only supports Rhino 5 and I have to base my study on the latest version for any further research.  

Another question as to dynamic shading… I can see there is an option to run simulation for dynamic shading in DIVA for Rhino. Is it possible to do dynamic shading simulation in DIVA for Grasshopper?
