Radiation Map Grid - Internalized data missing after saving and closing

Hi All,

I've been working through various iterations of a design using the radiation mapping component. After running the calculation, I used a daylighting grid component to internalize and store the data from that run before moving on to the next iteration. At the end I was able to plug and play different iterations based on the internalized data grids and everything was working smoothly. I saved and closed the file.

Upon opening the next day all of the internalized data from those runs was now missing. I saved the states so it's not too much trouble to rerun but I'd rather not have to do this upon opening each time. Any idea why this might have happened?

Thanks,

Maggie

Hi Maggie,

I see the same thing on my end -- I'll have to look into it.

In the meantime I'd suggest using the Name input for saving data.  Actually, I'd always suggest this. :)  I never use persistent grid params because they bog down GH too much...

Hi Jon,

Thanks for the quick response! I did name each so I can draw the grid from that without having to rerun, I'll make sure to do that in the future. Just out of curiosity, where does DIVA dump those run files?.

You can also provide a full path to the Name input if you want to save elsewhere.

Thanks so much!
