Hello,

I am running a thermal simulation of a building in an urban context using Viper.

These are the runtime messages:

The surfaces listed as "floor" are actually the vertical facades of the building, with all normals facing outwards. Why does EnergyPlus consider them as floors?

I think the severe message could be related to the facades issue, while I am not sure of understanding the last warning. Does it refer to the simulated building or to the shading objects?

I attach a the dxf output file of the simulation. It seems that the slab of the building has not been taken into account, even if it was attached to the zone beep input of the GH component.

I would be very grateful for any help you could give me.

After several attempts, I managed to solve all the problems of my model.
The were all caused by non-convex surfaces used for the slab. Apparently, Energy Plus was able to correctly triangulate a non-convex surface used the rooftop, but not the one of the slab. This caused the facades to be considered as floors.
