Awesome Works, hope to be continue in this way,

could you pass a little info about your modeling process?! i actually looking for how to generate models for different kind of simulation!

Hi Mahdi,

Sorry for my delayed reply...I didn't keep my account logged in for the site.

Thanks. The modeling process for these two I used SketchUp then exported it into Rhino. But it would be better (and faster) to build a model in Rhino directly. We had the CAD file for these two buildings, so it's basically modeling based on CAD.

Just 3 more things about modelling:

1 Depending on the topic or precise level you are working on, some details of the buildings would not be modeled. Usually for a large section like in the image I will delete some details like decorations around the window. If further research is needed for a single window, I will build a model for it then it would include details.

2 Material. For a model you could put building parts with same material in a same layer. So you don't have to assign same material for multiple layers.

3 If you are using sketchup or some other applications to build a model, please pay attention to the group/component/block, sometimes it will be hard to organize them in layers after you export it into Rhino.

Well that's what I did for the model and I could be wrong...I do think there are a lot of people in the forum have better opinion on the model. If you have already tried the modelling process I'd like to know your feedback :)
